In addition to the engine compartment fire extinguisher found on the left wall of the passenger compartment, an additional fixed fire extinguisher was installed at the right rear to combat fires in the turbine compartment. It could be manually activated via a control handle on the right top deck of the vehicle. The portable fire extinguisher (right) was stowed at the left rear of the passenger compartment.
